Historic Sites

As befitting a crossroads of many different civilizations, countries, and peoples, Serbia is home to a diverse collection of historic sites, often reflective of the religious and/or political realities of the region. From the Roman Empire (Serbia was home to eight Roman emperors) through the religious struggles between Christian Europeans and Muslim Ottomans, the country has a wealth of places to explore.
